This exclusive visitor pass system has been developed by us to help schools meet and exceed the strict criteria laid out in 2018's GDPR Data Protection legislation.
Critically, for an authorised person to see who has signed in that day, they would need to physically cut open the sealed list of confidential names concealed below.
As you can see from the pictures, this cut is made in the botton corner. This makes a quick, casual look at the list far harder and should give schools greater peace of mind that their organisation complies with all known regulations.
This best selling system has everything you need to welcome your visitor and ensure he or she is properly signed-in. It not only records all relevant visitor information, it also addresses safeguarding, notifies visitors of essential Health and Safety instructions and records information to assist with fire procedures/evacuations.
Is this Visitor System compliant with the GDPR? Yes it does comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) - although compliance does very much depend on where you locate this product and how you manage this list.
If your visitor sign-in system is on display in a supervised / manned area, then this system (and any of our other systems with discreet sheets) should comply. The only thing we would perhaps say is you will need to remove this system from view should that area be vacated (unmanned) for any length of time.

Is this Visitor System compliant with the GDPR?
On the 25th May 2018, the UK’s Data Protection Act was superseded by the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). This new piece of legislation increased the level of responsibility workplaces have in managing and storing data compliantly. Critically, in the case of visitor records, this means other visitors or staff should not be able to see who has signed in previously.
To comply with this legislation, this tear-out visitor system features a discreet sheet to conceal the names of previous visitors. This full list of names should only be seen by the responsible person in the event of a security breach or should the building be evacuated.
Like many processes under the GDPR, this product only complies if it is used correctly. We would advise that the book will need to be under supervision of at least one member of staff to ensure it is not removed or the discreet sheet lifted or torn-out. In line with the GDRP, these passes should never be left at an unmanned reception.
